EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas begins official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina

Kallas arrived in Sarajevo on the first direct flight between the capitals of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Türkiye, travelling from Ankara, where she met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

She was welcomed at Sarajevo International Airport by EU Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Luigi Soreca and Bosnia's Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković.

On the first day of her visit, Kallas is scheduled to meet members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On July 2, she will hold talks with Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto before visiting EUFOR troops stationed at Camp Butmir.

Following the visit to the military base, Kallas is expected to address EUFOR personnel and hold a press conference.
